Elder | Lead Pastor
Erik served as the pastor of Center Point Church West Campus over the last four years before it became Gospel Collective Church in January of 2021. He previously served as the Student Ministry Director over the three campuses of Center Point. Erik is passionate about shepherding and sending as the lead pastor of GCC. He believes that every Christian is a missionary sent by God to where he or she lives and needs to be shepherded by Christ and the under shepherds within the church. He desires to create a culture of Gospel community and mission along with the mission of the church to glorify God, love our neighbors and make disciples. He mainly accomplishes this through the preaching of God’s Word and forming overall vision and leadership for GCC. Erik graduated from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with an M.A. in Christian Education and is married to Jessica. They have four children together.

Elder I Executive Pastor
Joey is a Lawrenceburg, KY native and even was a walk-on for the University of Kentucky Football team in his early college days before receiving a call to ministry. Subsequently, Joey then attended and graduated from Boyce College and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. After seminary, Joey followed the Lord’s calling to Wichita, KS to serve several years as a Student Pastor before planting a church in the downtown Wichita area and serving as its Executive Pastor for over 10 years. Following this time, Joey returned to Lexington, KY, and served as Executive Pastor at a local area church before being called to GCC. Joey and his wife Nicole have been married for 14 years and they have 3 rowdy boys together. Joey has a deep passion for worshipping Jesus, reaching people with the Gospel and living on mission, preaching/teaching the Word of God, equipping the saints, making disciples, deep biblical community, and ministering to the next generation. And of course all things Kentucky Wildcats.

Elder
Chris is a civil engineer and works as a project manager at Stantec. He and his wife, Kelly, first attended CPC while attending the University of Kentucky in 2011 and both were involved with the initial launch of the west campus that later became Gospel Collective Church. They have served in both Kids Ministry and as community group leaders. Chris and Kelly spearhead our College & Young Adult Ministry and Chris has taken leadership roles with both facility and renovation needs. Chris and Kelly live in Lexington with their two children.

Elder
Steve has served as a lay elder for Center Point Church for nine years and will be continuing in that same role with Gospel Collective Church in 2021. After spending nearly two decades on the international mission field for the IMB in the Philippines, his family moved back to Lexington, KY several years ago where he works as the Agricultural Jessamine County Extension Agent at the University of Kentucky. Steve and his family have a huge heart for both global and local missions. One can trace many attendees in the church who have been invited originally or reached through their family. He also brings much wisdom and discernment to the elder team of GCC and the other ministries he helps lead. Steve is married to Denise and they have four children and two grandchildren within their growing family.

Elder
Aaron, along with his wife Sarah, serve as campus missionaries with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ). They live in Lexington and are parents to their three boys. They began attending CPC in 2012 and joined the launch team of the west campus in 2013, which is now Gospel Collective Church. They have served the church in different areas such as children’s ministry, college ministry, global missions team, and as former community group leaders. His passion for evangelism, discipleship, and seeing lives transformed by the gospel fuels his ministry both in the church and in everyday life.

Ricardo is from Chicago and is married to Molly. They have three children together. Since the inception of GCC, they have served as community group leaders and in the children's ministry. Ricardo is passionate about men's ministry, the Word of God, and growing together in Christ. His participation in several international mission trips has deepened his love for the global body of Christ and his commitment to spreading the Gospel.

Worship Leader
Matt Morris leads our Worship Band and Tech Team as the Worship Leader at Gospel Collective Church. Matt has had over ten years of experience leading worship in different churches before coming on staff at GCC in July 2021. Matt is passionate about using God-glorifying music as a means to draw people into a deeper love and knowledge of Christ. Matt also enjoys creatively working with different ministry teams and finding new ways to reach the lost in our community. He and his wife Rachel have two kids and live here in Lexington.

Associate Kids Director - Sunday
Katie was raised in the Northern KY area. She attended the University of Kentucky where she met her husband, Trey. Katie has a passion for making God known to their four kids and the next generation through knowing and loving His word. She strives to show that living in relationship with the true God of the Bible leads us to love others deeply and live on mission for Him wherever He has us.

Associate Kids Director - Wednesday
Isaac Bowyer serves as our Associate Kids Director focused on Wednesday night ministry, a position started in August 2025. He and his wife, Jenna, live in Lexington. Isaac is studying to receive his Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Jenna works as an oncology nurse at UK's Markey Cancer Center. They have attended GCC since the summer 2024, previously attending CPC. Isaac loves preaching and teaching, and they are both passionate about children's ministry, helping the next generation of the church grow in love with and understanding of the Lord.

Student Minister
Andrew serves as Student Minister at Gospel Collective Church. Originally from South Carolina, Andrew earned a degree in Christian Studies at Anderson University. He also met his wife, Katelyn, during his time at Anderson, and they currently live in Lexington. While at Anderson, he spent two summers working at an all-boys camp—an experience that helped shape his heart for student ministry. Before joining GCC, Andrew served as a Student Minister in South Carolina for two years. He is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. In his free time, he enjoys reading, hiking, camping, playing pickleball, and cooking. Andrew is passionate about discipling youth and helping students grow in their love and knowledge of God’s Word, and he’s excited to see how God will work through the student ministry at GCC to raise up the next generation of faithful disciples.

Ministry Administrator
Megan is critical in tackling all our administrative needs. Megan brings with her many years of experience from her time on staff at a church plant in Texas. Megan was born and raised in Versailles, KY and has spent the majority of her life here in the Bluegrass State. She is married to her husband Ryan and together they raise their five children.
